Digido, UnaCash, Pawssion Project promote rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming of animals

Employees and management of DFC visited Pawssion Project’s animal shelter in Bulacan last October 4, World Animal Day, to assist the non-profit’s core volunteers and caretakers in maintaining the shelter facilities while taking care of the animals up for adoption.

Recognizing the intricate connection between animal welfare and human well-being, Digido Finance Corp. (DFC), operator of award-winning consumer finance platform Digido and in-app and in-store finance solutions provider UnaCash, teamed up with non-profit organization Pawssion Project to promote the rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming of domestic animals.

Employees and management of DFC visited Pawssion Project’s animal shelter in Bulacan last October 4, World Animal Day, to assist the non-profit’s core volunteers and caretakers in maintaining the shelter facilities while taking care of the animals up for adoption.

During the visit, the company shared its in-kind and monetary donations to Pawssion Project that were acquired following an internal donation drive for the organization. In-kind donations included 50 kilograms of rice and 92 kilograms of dog and cat food.

Days prior to DFC’s visit, company volunteers also took part in Pawssion Project’s pet adoption drive in the metro, consistent with the latter’s mandate to find homes for animal rescues.

The partnership is part of DFC’s series of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, cementing its dedication to pursue in enhancing the well-being of the community and sustainability in its business practices. The company chose to support Pawssion Project in view of its highly commendable aim of dedication to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused and neglected animals.

Founded in October 2018 by Malou Perez, Pawssion Project Foundation Inc.’s  volunteer-driven initiatives have led to more than 2,000 rescues, and over 1,000 rehomed animals.
