EastWest Bank strengthens communications system with PLDT network

EastWest Bank, one of the fastest-growing banks in the country today, has chosen PLDT ALPHA Enterprise as its partner in revolutionizing its ICT systems given the latter’s expertise and proven track record in supplying end-to-end ICT solutions.

Given its rapid growth, EastWest Bank recognizes the need for top of its class technology to support its businesses and upgrade its level of service delivery.

With this partnership, PLDT ALPHA Enterprise, together with sister company SMART Enterprise, has deployed a formidable array of solutions in EastWest Bank. These include direct lines, direct inward dialing/direct outward dialing (DID/DOD), domestic and international toll-free, private leased circuits, PLDT Shops.Work Unplugged (SWUP), IP VPN, and SMART Broadband Enterprise Wireless.

Currently, EastWest Bank is looking at employing disaster recovery and text message broadcast (also known as Netcast) to add to its roster of ICT solutions that are provided by PLDT ALPHA Enterprise.

“We rely heavily on modern technology to help us in the delivery of our services,” says EastWest FVP and Head of EastWest Information Technology Group Randy A. Evangelista. “We chose PLDT ALPHA Enterprise as our ICT partner because we believe that they will help us greatly in providing excellent customer service within and beyond our banking hours.”

“The peace of mind provided by a reliable ICT network is invaluable to us. Banks heavily rely on the customer’s trust. When they encounter no difficulty in contacting our customer service hotline, it gives the impression that their needs are prioritized and easily addressed. If customers feel that their concerns are given priority, then their confidence in EastWest Bank strengthens. We thank PLDT ALPHA Enterprise for helping us make that possible,” said Evangelista.

“We are proud to partner with EastWest Bank – they have been very aggressive and innovative in the banking industry in recent years, especially with their branches expansion and thrust in electronic banking. We anticipate significant and mutually beneficial outcomes from this growing partnership, and PLDT is gratified to have been entrusted to serve the overall ICT needs of EastWest Bank, and enable this remarkable institution’s efforts to compete and lead in the top sphere,” said PLDT EVP and Head of Enterprise, International and Carrier Business Eric R. Alberto.

“We are grateful to EastWest Bank for choosing us as their trusted end-to-end expert ICT partner. We are truly astonished by the organization’s remarkable growth throughout the years. We share their vision of success both in the local and regional arenas. With that, we are excited to collaborate with them, and create the future unmatched ICT solutions that will transform their vision into reality,” said PLDT FVP and Head of PLDT ALPHA Enterprise Jovy Hernandez.
