AWS is announcing the availability of the new AWS Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region. The Hong Kong Region joins Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Beijing, Ningxia, Seoul, and Mumbai as the eighth active AWS Region in Asia Pacific and mainland China, and the 21st AWS Region worldwide.
The AWS Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region consists of three Availability Zones and with this launch, the AWS Global Infrastructure now offers 64 Availability Zones worldwide, serving customers in over 190 countries. The new AWS Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Region adds to the existing infrastructure AWS already has in Hong Kong SAR, which includes three Edge Network Locations, for customers looking to securely deliver data, videos, applications, and APIs to customers with low latency, high transfer speeds, all within a developer-friendly environment.
