Grab has launched GrabChat, its new instant messaging platform within the Grab app, said to “ensure seamless communication” between a passenger and a driver. This feature can be enjoyed by updating the Grab app.
With GrabChat, drivers can send templated messages. With just one tap, they can tell passengers “I’m 2 minutes away!”. It is also easier to gauge the estimated time of pick up, help a driver identify a passenger, and be en route to one’s destination quickly. All conversations are deleted once the journey is completed.
The in-app communication is also free.
