Fuji Xerox Printers eyes to capture 15% of the printer market share for the year with the introduction of a new range of DocuPrint monochrome and color printers.
The newly launched series of monochrome printers consist of DocuPrint P225d; P265dw (print, copy, scan and fax); M225dw (print, copy and scan), M225z (print, copy, scan and fax); and M265z (print, copy, scan and fax), while the A4 monochrome single and multifunction printers include DocuPrint P115w (print, copy, scan and fax); M115w (print, copy, scan and fax); and M115fw models. Color printer models include DocuPrint CP115w; CP225w; CM115w (print, copy, and scan); and CM225fw (print, copy, scan, and fax).
According to Junar Regullano, country manager at Fuji Xerox Printer Channel in the Philippines, the company is now on the fifth spot in the laser printer market. To get to its goal, the company is targeting to sell one million printers this year. It will specifically tap the laser printer market, a segment in the printer industry comprising more than 70% of the market, as well as the monochrome printer users that represent 60% of the local printer market.
Ideal for personal use and small workgroups, the DocuPrint P225d; P265dw; M225w; M225z; and M265z models can easily be connected via iOS and Android devices with AirPrint and Google Cloud Print, and let them print directly from mobile devices without downloading mobile apps or install print drivers. Cloud Print connects the printer to the Web while the Fuji Xerox Print Utility prints photos, Web pages and documents from mobile devices.
These monochrome printers have faster print engine with maximum print resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi, and capable of printing up to 26 pages per minute (ppm) for the 225 series and up to 30 pages ppm for the 265 series.
As Mopria-certified, the series offers mobile printing using any Android phone and tablet that runs on Android version 4.4 or later.
The DocuPrint P265dw, M225dw, M225z and M265z are Wi-Fi Direct-certified so it can be connected and print without a wireless access point.
The DocuPrint P115w, M115w, and M115fw A4 monochrome single and multifunction printers, on the other hand, print from Apple and Android devices using the Fuji Xerox Print and Scan Utility App. These also feature one-touch Wi-Fi setup.
With print resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi and output of 20 pages ppm, this range of printers support poster, header/footer (time and date and/or user ID), watermarks, manual duplex and manual booklet printing. These printers are ideal for students, home users and small workgroups that print low volumes.
Consisting of four models, the new series of DocuPrint color printers offer connection and printing via wireless, iOS and Android devices. AirPrint and Google Cloud Print-ready, these printers support smartphones and tablets without the need to download apps or install drivers in these mobile devices. These color printers can be set up for Wi-Fi access and can be shared across a workgroup through built-in networking capabilities.
Using the Fuji Xerox Self-Scanning Light Emitting Diode (SLED) and Digitally-Enhanced Lighting Control Imaging System (DELCIS) technology, all printers in this range provide print quality at up to 1200 x 2400 dpi print resolution. These models also deliver print speeds at up to 18 ppm for both color and monochrome printing, with the first color page taking 17 seconds to print while the first monochrome page taking 15 seconds.
The series uses ecologically-responsible EA-ECO toners which reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 35%.
