PowerShot G1 X Mark II
The flagship model PowerShot G1 X Mark II camera boasts a large 1.5” type CMOS sensor, which is approximately 4.5 times larger than the size of existing 1/1.7” type sensors in other compact cameras, providing high performance from low to high ISO speeds.
Canon also developed a new large aperture lens (F/2.0-3.9) equipped with 5x zoom lens (24-120mm equivalent) for this camera.
Possessing a high-end DIGIC 6 imaging processor, the 12.8-megapixel PowerShot G1 X is highly recommended for those who like to take “selfies” or extremely high or low angle shots with its unique tilt designs (that can be tilted up to 180 degrees or down to 45 degrees) for its touchscreen LCD. This provides users flexibility while framing shots. For preserving battery life and easier shoot in bright daylight, an optional Electronic View Finder (EVF) can be attached to the hot shoe.
Through Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, PowerShot G1 X can be connected with other smart devices by pushing the Mobile Connect button on one camera then tap another NFC-enabled device. Users can then control the camera remotely via the Camera Window app which can make focusing changes and basic setting adjustments like exposure and ISO speed.
PowerShot SX700 HS
An advanced zoom camera intended for travelers, PowerShot SX700 HS boasts of a sleek 34.8mm body that is slimmer than few of its competitors in the compact 30x zoom class. It ensures great-looking long distance shots with its advanced DIGIC 6 imaging processor and a cutting-edge zoom lens. Its ZoomPlus feature pushes the zoom distance to approximately 60x without having any loss in image quality.
To prevent the camera from shaking, it has an Optical Image Stabilizer capability, and to help users track subjects and take them in frame, the camera has a Zoom Framing Assist function. For an easier sharing of files and shoot remotely with smart devices, SX700 HS has a Wi-Fi and NFC technology while ensuring Full HD video recording at either super-smooth 60p or 30p in MP4 compression format.
Sporting a 28mm wide angle lens with 5x optical zoom, the 12.1-megapixel PowerShot D30 is the world’s deepest 25m waterproof compact camera. It can take rich high-resolution underwater photos and full HD videos at 24p with its DIGIC 4 imaging processor and High Sensitivity system. When dropped from heights of up to two meters and operates at cold temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius, D30 can resist shock and it has an Image Stabilizer that prevents image blur caused by shaky hands.
A 20-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom lens and a Zoomplus to approximately 20x zoom, IXUS 155 features an improved intelligent IS function, enhanced start-up and auto-focusing time for an easier usage. When it is combined with upgraded DIGIC 4+ imaging processor and a CCD sensor, its processing time improves by up to 60% when shooting at high ISO speeds.
Canon’s 16-megapixel IXUS 145 is packed with a simple interface which makes taking shots easier while its megapixel count and 8x optical zoom is suitable in taking shots in concerts, plays or even a football game.
