Canon Philippines appoints Rafael ‘Peng’ Pleno as director of business imaging solutions

In this role, Pleno will lead the company’s Business Imaging Solutions unit, overseeing managed print services, production printing, and digital workflow solutions that help enterprises across key industries achieve greater efficiency and innovation.

Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. announced the appointment of Rafael “Peng” Pleno as Director of Business Imaging Solutions. He succeeds Kenichiro Kitamura, who has transitioned to Canon Inc. In this role, Pleno will lead the company’s Business Imaging Solutions unit, overseeing managed print services, production printing, and digital workflow solutions that help enterprises across key industries achieve greater efficiency and innovation.

With over 20 years of experience in managed print services, digital transformation, and production printing, Pleno has delivered technology-driven solutions to organizations in banking, insurance, utilities, manufacturing, and other sectors. Prior to joining Canon Philippines, he served as a full-time consultant for one of the country’s largest technology companies, developing a comprehensive services portfolio with a strong focus on Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) and Managed Print Services (MPS).

Pleno also led country operations for a Singapore-based SaaS company, driving local expansion through channel partnerships and new market opportunities. During this time, he played a key role in supporting remote learning and development solutions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am excited to lead the Business Imaging Solutions team at such an important time for Philippine businesses,” said Pleno. “My focus is on leveraging Canon’s technology and expertise to drive innovation, simplify workflows, and help organizations achieve measurable improvements in growth and efficiency.”

Under his leadership, the Business Imaging Solutions unit will focus on growing Canon’s B2B solutions, championing digital transformation, and fostering innovation in business imaging solutions, further strengthening Canon’s market leadership in the Philippines.
