Why Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines has moved to the cloud

Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines has moved to the cloud with Microsoft’s Office 365 for Business as a strategic direction to communicate and engage with its partners, employees, and customers.

Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines has moved to the cloud with Microsoft’s Office 365 for Business as a strategic direction to communicate and engage with its partners, employees, and customers. With Office 365’s benefits such as collaboration, familiarity and mobility, the beverage manufacturer enables increased productivity in the workplace.

Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines was incorporated in January of 2013, when FEMSA acquired 51% of Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI), from The Coca-Cola Company.

Coca-Cola FEMSA sees three benefits to Office 365, namely collaboration, familiarity, and mobility.

For example, Microsoft Lync facilitates ease of communication and allows Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines employees to share files without difficulty during video conference calls. Also, they are able to access important files at any given time through a variety of hand held devices. All of these have led to increased productivity which is essential for Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines to continue to deliver value to its customers.

Office 365 delivers the optimal benefits of the cloud – productivity, familiarity, social, collaboration and control. It powers organizations to have the flexibility of running their applications on the cloud without the need for physical servers. This means that they can attain productivity wherever, whenever and whichever device they use.

Office 365 delivers the collaborative power of the web and familiar productivity tools that customers prefer across multiple devices. No other service can beat this familiarity on such tools whether it’s PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Lync, SharePoint or OneNote. Among its many other features, Office 365 is also social. With its integrated platforms such as Yammer, an enterprise social networking tool, Office 365 gives organizations a platform for productivity, communications, and collaborations without discounting security management.

“To power the organization and deliver our products to more Filipinos, we need the most up-to-date business tools such as Office 365,” said Juan Dominguez, Corporate Affairs Director for Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines.  “Our partnership with Microsoft signifies our high regard for the cloud in deploying a whole new level of technological strategy for Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines.”
