Samsung has launched its NX500, a compact mirrorless camera, which is capable of shooting ultra high-definition (HD) 4K videos and capturing ultra HD footages.
Powered by DRIME 5 processor, Samsung NX500 camera produces superior color reproduction and improved noise reduction that is capable of enhancing JPEG image quality. Through this processor, photographers can record 4K ultra high-definition videos by leveraging its 28-megapixel Advanced Photo System – type C (APS-C) sensor that produces better light and delivers vivid and crisp images. Videos taken by this camera are of higher quality, having true-to-life clarity and colors compared with the conventional full HD videos.
The camera has a 16-50mm power zoom lens and high ISO performance that can handle up to a maximum ISO of 25,600, needed to take perfect shot even in low light situations and in printing clear physical copies of the photos.
Another major feature of NX500 is the fast all-new hybrid Autofocus, a sensor with on-surface phase detection for best AF speed improvement on speed and accuracy at .055s target designed to support a maximum of 205 AF Phase Detect points. Along with the 9 FPS continuous drive, this sensor allows photographers to capture fast-moving action, wherever it is in the photo.
Responsible for its improved accuracy, responsive touch functionality that makes moving scenes easier to shoot, and its ability to produce high quality photos of on-the-go subjects is the camera’s AMOLED touch screen that distinguished it from the other touch screen cameras.
The camera has an Auto Self Shot that comes with a 3” Touch Tilt and Flip Up that can rotate up to 180-degree and perfect not just for selfies but for low-angle and high-angle shots as well. Aside from being suited for outdoor photo shoots as tilting can help avoid sun glares and reflections, it also has an AutoShot feature and Slanted Shutter used for capturing moments that are trouble-free.
NX500 camera possesses a smile and wink detector which enables the camera to automatically shoot once it detects a wink or a smile from the subject.
The retro and ergonomic design boosts the quality of NX500 camera. The camera’s exterior which is compact and slim in size, and its light weight and portability make it easy for users to capture actions shots from different angles. Aside from having curves that fit into users’ hands, its grip, complete with a thumb rest, provides a secure hold perfect for outdoor adventures.
The camera has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features which make it easy for users to transfer photos from the camera to mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets even without the presence of a Wi-Fi router, with the Samsung camera manager mobile application.
