The pace of cyber threats and IT change has outrun human-only operations in the agentic AI era. In response to this, Cisco has developed a unified command center built for both people and AI agents.
Cisco Cloud Control is a new platform designed as the foundation for Cisco’s “AgenticOps operating model. With one login, IT and security teams get a single view and single data layer for Cisco networking, security, compute, observability, and collaboration services. The platform enables humans and AI agents to work from the same operational context and system of action, with humans staying in control. Customers can build their own applications and agents using natural language directly within the platform, which also connects to a large ecosystem, including AWS, Linear, Microsoft, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Slack, and Google Cloud, which now includes Wiz.
Cisco Cloud Control brings purpose-built AI models or capabilities which include Cisco’s Deep Network Model, trained on 40 years of Cisco operational networking data. This has resulted to a system intelligence that scales with problem complexity, not just model size. The platform also introduced autonomous agents that follow a structured path from signal to action such as spot trouble, identify root cause, carry out fixes, test changes before deployment, and confirm user experience has recovered.
It also offers AI Canvas or a multiplayer, generative workspace where operators and agents collaborate from the same live evidence to investigate and resolve complex issues in real time. The platform also features Cloud Control Studio with two customization environments: the Agent Builder which lets customers build agents tailored to their own policies and workflows. The other environment is the App Builder which lets customers build and publish apps and workflows for Cloud Control using natural-language prompts, with OpenAI Codex built in.
Apart from Cisco Cloud Control, Cisco also introduced security innovations for AI environments such as Live Protect, a runtime vulnerability protection system that shields supported infrastructure from threats without requiring reboots, or software upgrades, and Hybrid Mesh Firewall, which extends unified security controls across hybrid environments.
Cisco also announced its roadmap for quantum-safe infrastructure which enables post-quantum capabilities across most of its portfolio by the end of 2026. There will be new products to be launched with quantum-safe secure boot technology.
