VSTECS and Fastly partner

By adding Fastly to its portfolio, VSTECS strengthens its suite of cybersecurity solutions, offering a secure-by-design platform that processes data and applications at the edge — closer to the end-users.

VSTECS Phils., Inc., the country’s leading ICT distributor, announced its official appointment as the Philippine country distributor for Fastly, Inc. This partnership serves to transform how local enterprises handle digital traffic by reducing latency, improving reliability, and responding to sophisticated cyber threats in real time.
As the cybersecurity landscape shifts toward AI-driven threats and automated bot attacks, it has become imperative for organizations to fortify their security defenses. Traditional infrastructure often struggles to keep pace with modern traffic demands and evolving threats. By adding Fastly to its portfolio, VSTECS strengthens its suite of cybersecurity solutions, offering a secure-by-design platform that processes data and applications at the edge — closer to the end-users.
“The rise in cyber threats and the growing complexity of the digital ecosystem demand a shift toward intelligent, edge-based security,” said Jimmy Go, President and CEO of VSTECS Phils., Inc. “By adding Fastly to our portfolio, we are empowering our partners and their customers with a high-performance platform that doesn’t force a trade-off between speed and security. Fastly’s ability to reduce latency and provide real-time visibility is a game-changer for the Philippine market.”
Fastly’s platform provides a unified architecture that combines content delivery, edge computing, and web application and API protection  solutions. Its global edge network specialises in delivering compelling, real-time experiences on websites, streaming platforms, and mobile applications while remaining secure and resilient by design. By moving compute power to the edge, Fastly is designed to enable companies to:
  • Reduce Latency: Deliver exceptional web and mobile experiences by decreasing the distance between data and the user.
  • Improve Reliability: Maintain high availability and seamless performance, even during massive traffic spikes and cloud provider outages.
  • Minimise Risks in Real Time: Identify and mitigate advanced threats, such as DDoS attacks and malicious AI bot activities.
Fastly’s programmable platform is designed for modern development workflows, enabling businesses to deploy updates quickly, personalize content at scale, and gain real-time visibility into application performance. The company currently supports leading global brands across industries including media, e-commerce, financial services, and technology sectors.
“The Philippines is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing markets in the region, where digital expectations are rising at an unprecedented pace. By combining Fastly’s high-performance technology with VSTECS’ extensive distribution network and deep-rooted local expertise, Philippine enterprises and e-commerce businesses can modernize with the speed, security, and reliability they need to compete on a global scale,” said Rachel Ler, AVP of Asia at Fastly.
Through this partnership, VSTECS will leverage its extensive network of channel partners to make Fastly’s platform accessible to businesses of all sizes nationwide, working toward a safer and faster digital future for the Philippines.
