Vingroup extends special program to support customers switching from gasoline to EV

The move aims to continue easing the pressure from fuel supply constraints and rising gasoline prices on the community, while reaffirming the Group’s sense of social responsibility and dedication to society.

Vingroup announced the extension of its special support program for customers switching from gasoline to electric vehicles through April 30, 2026. The move aims to continue easing the pressure from fuel supply constraints and rising gasoline prices on the community, while reaffirming the Group’s sense of social responsibility and dedication to society.

Amid ongoing challenges that continue to disrupt global fuel markets and impact users of fossil-fuel powered transportation, Vingroup has decided to extend the “Trade Gas for Electric” program across four key markets, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. At the same time, the Group will maintain a 10% fare reduction for electric mobility services provided by GSM in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Laos.

Specifically, customers who switch from gasoline vehicles to VinFast electric vehicles in Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines will receive an additional 3% discount on cars and 5% discount on motorcycles. These incentives are applied in combination with other ongoing promotional programs.

For customers choosing to travel via Xanh SM in Vietnam and Green SM in Indonesia and Laos, all trips will continue to receive a 10% fare reduction.

Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales at VinFast, said: “The emergency support program encouraging the transition from gasoline to electric vehicles, launched in March, has delivered timely solutions and created strong momentum for hundreds of thousands of customers to choose VinFast electric vehicles as their companion for upcoming green journeys. Extending the program will not only provide more customers with the opportunity to go green, but also directly contribute to reducing fuel consumption, reaffirming Vingroup’s social responsibility and commitment to the community.”

Rising fuel prices, combined with Vingroup’s highly attractive customer incentives, have contributed to strong growth across the green ecosystem. Notably, on March 28, 2026, VinFast recorded 3,520 electric vehicle orders completed in a single day, equivalent to 2.4 vehicles fully processed and ready for factory dispatch per minute. This unprecedented milestone highlights VinFast’s exceptional manufacturing, business, and operational capabilities, while also underscoring the accelerating shift toward electric vehicles in Vietnam and globally.
