HP unveils intelligent retail solutions tackling store barrier to unified commerce

HP’s expanded enterprise retail solution is built to address one of the industry’s most persistent sources of friction: disconnected, aging in-store systems that slow operations, complicate fulfillment, and put pressure on margins while struggling to deliver simple, unified experiences for shoppers.

HP Inc. announced that it is bringing together hardware, software, services, and intelligence into a unified solution to help retailers operate with greater visibility, consistency, and control. HP’s expanded enterprise retail solution is built to address one of the industry’s most persistent sources of friction: disconnected, aging in-store systems that slow operations, complicate fulfillment, and put pressure on margins while struggling to deliver simple, unified experiences for shoppers.

“Retailers need technology that simplifies, not adds complexity, and creates systems that work together across channels, the same way shoppers experience their brands,” said Faisal Masud, President, Worldwide Digital & Lifecycle Services at HP. “Retail is overdue for reinvention, and we’re excited to help our customers create the future.”

Today consumers blend digital discovery and in-store fulfillment in their shopping, leading retailers to seek ways to modernize operations without introducing risk to core systems. HP spotted an opportunity to leverage its experience and trust as a technology partner to help move retailers forward – without forcing risky, sweeping change. Many retailers remain cautious about modernizing store technology, concerned that replacing core systems could disrupt day-to-day operations. That hesitation has left retail trailing other industries that have more readily adopted flexible, intelligent, connected platforms.

Reducing friction where it matters most

Modern retail blends online and in-store shopping, flexible fulfillment, and easy returns. When store systems operate in silos, friction shows up quickly – at checkout, behind the counter, and across the supply chain. HP’s Intelligent Retail Infrastructure addresses these challenges by aligning devices, software, services, and AI into a connected foundation that helps retailers operate with greater clarity, consistency, and control.

Inside HP Intelligent Retail Infrastructure

HP’s Enterprise POS Solution provides a secure, scalable foundation for store transactions. Built on HP’s trusted POS hardware, the solution integrates software compatibility, enterprise security, device telemetry, and managed services into a single platform.  New to this solution is HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), which extends intelligence across store environments. By providing real-time telemetry, predictive insights, and remote management across POS systems, kiosks, and peripherals, WXP helps IT and operations teams identify issues early, resolve them remotely, and maintain uptime at scale, helping ensure positive customer experiences. Retailers gain better visibility into store performance, faster issue resolution, and lower operational overhead across distributed environments.
