Coca-Cola partners with PLDT to strengthen employee cyber, mobile readiness

This initiative supports Coca-Cola’s company goal of strengthening digital preparedness through advanced mobile solutions, enabling the workforce to avoid roaming issues and recognize security threats encountered abroad.

Coca-Cola Philippines partnered with PLDT Enterprise and ePLDT to train Coca-Cola employees in a workshop designed to boost mobile efficiency and cybersecurity awareness—especially for employees regularly traveling for business.
Held at CCEAP headquarters in Taguig, the session emphasized key lessons in managing corporate mobile services, configuring international roaming settings, taking care of devices during trips, and recognizing threats such as SMShing and phishing. The training also covered how to access and maximize Smart Postpaid offers, including Gigaroam packages that ensure seamless and affordable mobile connectivity while overseas.
This initiative supports Coca-Cola’s company goal of strengthening digital preparedness through advanced mobile solutions, enabling the workforce to avoid roaming issues and recognize security threats encountered abroad.
“Our goal was to ensure that employees, especially those who travel often for work, are fully equipped to manage their mobile devices securely and efficiently while abroad,” said Percival Lawrence Ramos, Technology Services Director at Coca-Cola Philippines. “Having a partner like PLDT Enterprise who guides us even after deployment—translating complex solutions into real-world usage—makes all the difference in driving smarter and more secure business operations.”
A Partnership That Goes Beyond Connectivity
The workshop reflects PLDT Enterprise’s commitment to supporting customers by providing practical, real-world training that helped employees understand how to:
  • Subscribe to appropriate Gigaroam packages based on their travel needs
  • Identify the right customer support touchpoints
  • Monitor data usage effectively while abroad
  • Apply phone care practices for longer device life
  • Recognize and avoid mobile-based cyber threats
“This workshop reflects our belief that the relationship with our clients goes beyond providing the solution. It is also about empowering them with the knowledge on how to best equip the solutions we provide,” said Corinne Funk-Zablan, Assistant Vice President and Head of Customer Relationship Management at PLDT Enterprise. “We’re here to support our partners like Coca-Cola throughout their journey—empowering their teams with the right tools and know-how to navigate the complexities of mobile usage and digital safety.”
Addressing Real-World Business Needs
The session was developed in response to challenges that many enterprise teams face today in terms of mobile plan packages, support channels, and data usage. Coca-Cola and PLDT Enterprise are committed to jointly and proactively addressing these concerns to improve field operations and ensure consistent connectivity and protection during business travel.
Enabling the Manufacturing Sector’s Digital Shift
The CCFEL workshop also highlights PLDT Enterprise’s support for the manufacturing sector, helping organizations like Coca-Cola future-proof their operations. With mobile security and connectivity now essential to workforce efficiency, initiatives like this demonstrate PLDT’s dedication to closing knowledge gaps and enabling smarter day-to-day operations.
