HP Philippines unveiled the Southeast Asia’s first HP OMEN Playground, a gaming concept store designed for gamers to play and explore HP’s gaming devices. Located at the Level 4 (Cyberzone) of SM Megamall, the one-stop HP concept store features HP products that cater to the needs of the growing population of gamers and other market segments.
“The gaming industry in the Philippines continues to grow at an exciting pace, with over 43-million gamers driving demand for high-performance and personalized experiences,” said Ida Evina Ong-Co, managing director of HP Philippines. “We’re seeing strong growth for our gaming business. We hope that through the launch of the first HP OMEN Playground in Southeast Asia, we will bring Filipino gamers a space where they can explore our full gaming ecosystem, and discover how our innovations in performance, personalization, and AI can transform the way they play.”
The launch of the HP OMEN Playground comes at a time when the country’s esports market is experiencing significant growth, with projections indicating continued expansion in the coming years. In 2024, the local esports market was valued at US$26.60-million and projected to double by 2033. As the Philippines is witnessing a rise in esports engagements, HP aims to meet gamers’ demands such as powerful devices, high-performance gear and experiences that elevate the way they play.
The HP OMEN Playground provides a space for gamers to play and explore HP’s gaming products including laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals like HyperX gaming accessories, making it a destination for gamers of all levels – from casual hobbyists to competitive gamers. Hands-on experience where customers can try-out HP gaming devices at the store is allowed. Besides, trained store staff can also assist with product inquiries and gaming-related issues.
From May 23 to 25, the HP OMEN Playground will treat early shoppers to exclusive deals and immersive activities. On May 25, fans can join the Valorant Cosplay Challenge and cheer on contenders in the 1v1 Valorant “King of the Hill” Deathmatch, where players will compete for HyperX gear and exclusive OMEN merch. The weekend-long celebration also includes a Pick-a-Prize promo offering guaranteed wins, with discounts of up to PhP 30,000 for the first 10 buyers each day, plus free HyperX gear, Uniqlo gift certificates, and more.
