Lista celebrates 3rd anniversary of financial empowerment with launch of ‘The Credit Club’

This milestone underscores Lista’s commitment in bridging the gap in financial literacy and providing greater accessibility to credit information for Filipinos.

Lista, the fastest-growing financial management app in the Philippines, is marking its 3rd anniversary in the Philippines with a new initiative, The Credit Club. This milestone underscores Lista’s commitment in bridging the gap in financial literacy and providing greater accessibility to credit information for Filipinos.

Designed to empower young Filipinos through responsible credit management, The Credit Club is an exclusive group of next-gen individuals, formed to empower and inspire fellow Filipino millennials and Gen Zs to take control of their financial habits through credit awareness. Members include key content creators and representatives from the Credit Information Corporation (CIC), Credit Information Bureau, Inc. (CIBI) and TransUnion Philippines who are committed to driving financial literacy and fostering a culture of informed credit management among the younger generation of Filipinos.

“Understanding one’s credit score is essential for financial empowerment, yet it remains one of the most overlooked aspects of financial literacy,” said Khriz Lim, Co-Founder and COO of Lista.  “As we celebrate our 3rd anniversary, we’re launching The Credit Club to bring together a community of ambassadors who will help spread the message of responsible credit management. By empowering these individuals, we aim to bridge the knowledge gap and inspire their peers to view credit not just as a number, but as a vital tool for achieving financial freedom and long-term success.”

Younger generations are driving credit market expansion

TransUnion’s Q1 2024 Philippines Consumer Pulse Study highlights the increasing significance of credit among younger Filipinos. The study reveals that nearly all (98%) Gen Z respondents view access to credit and lending products as essential to reaching their financial goals. It also shows that Gen Z is highly engaged with their credit health, frequently monitoring their status to secure the best credit opportunities. This data underscores the growing need for education around credit scores, and The Credit Club aims to bridge that gap by equipping young Filipinos with the knowledge and tools to master credit management.

The Credit Club is more than just an exclusive group – it’s a movement inviting young Filipinos to join a conversation about responsible financial management. By bringing together a diverse network of influential ambassadors, Lista aims to shift the narrative around credit from a daunting topic to an empowering tool. The club fosters a culture of awareness and inclusivity, helping participants build a secure financial future through better credit habits.

This initiative offers the opportunity to contribute to a shift in how Filipinos approach credit, fostering a culture of awareness and empowerment that leads to a more financially secure future.
