The Municipal Government of Agoncillo, a fourth-class municipality in the province of Batangas, recently inaugurated its new building following the devastation caused by the Taal volcano eruption in 2020. Embracing their vision of “Magandang Agoncillo, Magandang Serbisyo Publiko,” the new building features centralized voice and data services powered by PLDT Enterprise.

“This partnership with PLDT Enterprise represents a significant step towards modernizing our operations,” said Vice Mayor Atty. Daniel Reyes of Agoncillo. “The advanced connectivity solutions from PLDT Enterprise will streamline our communications, enhance our service delivery, and bring us closer to our goal of providing efficient and effective public service.”

The PLDT Enterprise voice and data systems will interconnect all offices within the municipal building, including the Command Center, thereby improving the ease of communication among officers, management, and staff. Additionally, centralized data services will facilitate seamless collaboration through a single, unified source of information. This will support the digitalization of various municipal processes such as tax payments, permit issuance, and the disbursement of financial assistance.

Ruby Montoya, Vice President and Head of Enterprise Revenue Group at PLDT Enterprise, expressed enthusiasm about the successful project, saying that, “Our solutions are designed to empower local government units like Agoncillo to operate more efficiently and effectively. As part of our Lipad LGU initiative, which aims to help LGUs become smart cities, we are committed to helping create a smart and connected municipal building for Agoncillo that will significantly enhance public service delivery.”
