Philippine Software Industry prexy underscores role of right partner to fuel digital transformation

Last year alone, the industry posted a 10.3 percent growth in revenues, reaching $32.5 billion, and an 8.4% increase in the number of full-time employees to 1.57 million— indicators that it is well on its way towards making the Philippines the world’s investment destination for global services.

The country’s information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector has entered a phase of rapid growth and expansion fueled by digital transformation, an increasingly skilled workforce and diversification of services. To sustain growth, investments in education, infrastructure, and innovation are vital.

Last year alone, the industry posted a 10.3 percent growth in revenues, reaching $32.5 billion, and an 8.4% increase in the number of full-time employees to 1.57 million— indicators that it is well on its way towards making the Philippines the world’s investment destination for global services.

To sustain this progress and remain globally competitive, the  IT-BPM sector should continue to embrace solutions that empower businesses with operational efficiency and nurture a sustainable talent pool, said the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP),

“In an increasingly agile environment, you must listen to associate better with your target market and adopt new technologies that will enable better connectivity and make processes simple. This will keep businesses in the sector competitive and relevant,” said Jonathan de Luzuriaga, President of Spring Valley and the Philippine Software Industry Association, who is also a Globe Business Ambassador for IT-BPM.

To adopt digital tools that fit their evolving needs and operations, businesses in the industry must find the right partner to help improve operational efficiency as they move forward in their digital transformation journey, added the tech visionary.
