Vertiv hosts Master Class to share insights into latest sustainable data center technologies

The event gathered over 50 contractors, designers, and consultants, marking the first of its kind in the country. The sessions covered recent innovations in data center solutions, including liquid cooling and new power technologies, designed to facilitate the seamless implementation of sustainable and reliable infrastructure.

Vertiv, in collaboration with PAMAV Training Institute and Technology Center (PamavTech) and the Data Center Association of the Philippines (DCAP), hosted a Master Class aimed to share insights into the latest sustainable data center technologies at Shangri-La the Fort, Manila.

The event gathered over 50 contractors, designers, and consultants, marking the first of its kind in the country. The sessions covered recent innovations in data center solutions, including liquid cooling and new power technologies, designed to facilitate the seamless implementation of sustainable and reliable infrastructure.

“The growing demand for energy and the urgent need for additional data center infrastructures necessitates a swift transition to support low-impact data solutions. Developing a sustainable strategy for our future infrastructures is no longer an option; it’s a must. And we don’t have a lot of time to spare,” said Joe Thomas, Vertiv Director of Distribution and Longtail of Asia.

DCAP Chairman Steven J. Davis underscored the industry’s need for a unified approach to managing critical infrastructure issues. “We don’t want things to be implemented half full. It’s either we have one hundred percent uptime or none at all, so we better make these issues known to the public,” he said.

Following discussions, attendees engaged in deep-dive breakout sessions to explore innovative power technologies and the proper implementation of efficient heat management. All participants received credit units from the Professional Regulation Commission.
