LG announces call for entries for LG Ambassador Challenge

LG renews the call for entries for the Ambassador Challenge until March 24. The global initiative, spearheaded by Korea Friends of Hope International (KFHI), reiterates LG’s commitment to play an active role in local communities and help drive sustainable growth.

Following the success of the Philippine pilot the past year, LG renews the call for entries for the Ambassador Challenge until March 24. The global initiative, spearheaded by Korea Friends of Hope International (KFHI), reiterates LG’s commitment to play an active role in local communities and help drive sustainable growth.

The LG Ambassador Challenge was first founded in 2017 in Bangladesh with other South Asian countries staging their own a few years after. The initiative’s main goal is for individuals and local organizations to submit plans that foster positive change for the local community. The best proposals are awarded grants to help fulfill their initiatives. For the Philippines’ first LG Ambassador Challenge, ‘Ride for Hope’ by Bahay Aruga and ‘Roof for Siargao’ by Red Charity Gala were selected as the two winners.

LG PH Managing Director Sungjae Kim looks forward to see new proposals for the second run of the program. “The LG Ambassador Program for the Philippines is a categorical success. Ever since, we’ve always wanted to play an active role in lending a helping hand to the community. But the beauty of the Ambassador Program is that it gives us a more focused, targeted, and grassroots approach to community building and betterment. It gives us fresh perspectives and new ways to help.”

Under an overarching vision that sees various aspects of society working together to achieve a better life for all, the program is open to all groups that strive to bring about positive change for their community, solve social problems and alleviate poverty through LG products and technologies. It is a unique opportunity for individuals, groups, and organizations to make a difference.
