Smart boosted Guimaras State College’s information dissemination initiatives via #SmartInfocast and provision of 400 pieces of 5G-ready SIM cards which will be distributed to students and faculty members.
Smart Infocast is a web-based text-broadcasting solution powered by Smart since 2015. This facility has enabled public and private organizations to easily distribute important information within their community, especially during the restrictive COVID-19 lockdown.
Guimaras State College has stated via its official Facebook page how these solutions will help them in their day-to-day operations: “With this initiative, our partnership assisted the college in improving its communication system without spending any cost.”
Present during the turnover are the following: Ediner Tinio (Smart Regional Customer Development – West Visayas), Art Lamayo (Smart Regional Customer Development-Area Manager), Jovel dela Cruz (Smart Customer Development Manager), Steph Garzon (Smart Community Development Officer), Leo Sagun (Smart Trade Marketing Officer), Dr. Lilian Diana B. Parreño (College President), and Dir. Adrian J. Forca (ICT Director).
This partnership strengthens PLDT and Smart’s advocacy to improve the lives of the Filipino people by delivering digital solutions to its partner communities, supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal # 11 of making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
