Invest in right hardware, software, services to effect changes in businesses, prevent challenges – Lenovo Phl

For Michael Ngan, Country General Manager of Lenovo in the Philippines, investing in the right hardware, software, and services would make a big difference overall in how businesses can immediately address and prevent challenges.

“With the right equipment, IT departments would be able to focus entirely on assisting and providing the necessary support required by the employees without having to worry about minor or recurring problems caused by their equipment,” he said.

Another way companies can alleviate problems of employees is by encouraging employees to take full advantage of the smart features available on their devices, such as  the webcam privacy shutter, AI-based noise cancellation, and low blue light or eye care settings. And “given how employees may also be using personal devices to carry out their work, company data may be more susceptible to security breaches. Businesses therefore have to put an emphasis on and commit to a business-centric approach to data security,” Ngan said.

Lenovo obviously has various offerings to deal with the new normal.

With the current working conditions, Lenovo “made sure our Think products are equipped to address the WFH environment by including an improved A/V experience with industry leading LCD technology such as Dolby Vision HDR & Low power FHD with blue light technology to protect against eye strain. Lenovo Think products are also equipped with Dolby sound for better listening experience and Far field microphones across the portfolio for superior communication.”

And while security has been the priority of Lenovo, ThinkShield is its new security platform across the Think portfolio.

“ThinkShield by Lenovo is the most comprehensive, end-to-end security solution on the market. It combines industry-leading secure hardware, software, services, and processes to protect our customer’s business, many of which are standard on ThinkPad devices. Additional features are also available across the portfolio to increase security layers. This is most essential now given the current state of hybrid and remote work. We also offer the option of installing an enhanced Privacy Guard and Human Presence detection that locks and unlocks the machine to save power and increase productivity.”
