Jabra provides fully integrated call-control with Cisco Jabber

Jabra has announced that all its leading headsets and speakerphones now offer fully integrated call-control with the latest Cisco Jabber 9.6 for Windows.

Jabra has announced that all its leading headsets and speakerphones now offer fully integrated call-control with the latest Cisco Jabber 9.6 for Windows. Jabra is also the first headset vendor to complete the Cisco certification process, which allows Jabra to provide a complete USB, Bluetooth and DECT offering on key audio devices.

With the launch of Cisco Jabber 9.6, Jabra has stepped up the competition for headset manufacturers worldwide to deliver compatibleheadset call-control functionalities. Jabra is thefirst toannounce‘built-in’drivers with Cisco Jabber.Earlier this year, Jabra was also the first to launchthe PC Suite based call-control for the Cisco Jabber 9.2.

The ‘built-in’ Jabra driver will allow for seamless installation, without the external drivers to complicate a mass-deployment.

Continued integration of Jabra audio devices with Cisco solution

Jabra’s fully integrated call-control with Cisco Jabber is the latest step in the continued integration of Jabra audio devices withCisco solutions, which enablebusinessesto make an easy choiceon communication infrastructure and increase the productivity of their end-users at the same time.

The continued compatibility updates are the result of Jabra’s participation in the Cisco Developer Network Program, which unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers. As a Preferred Solution Developer, Jabra is continuously working with Cisco to deliver new solutions that offer end-users with all the benefits of unified communication.

Cisco Jabber for Windows and in virtual environments
Another example of the collaboration with Cisco is the co-developed audio devices also launched earlier this year – solutions that increase the collaboration experience on Cisco Jabber for Windows and in virtual environments. Jabra brought its expertise in audio engineering, award-winning product design and software integration to the development of two new products – a compact office speakerphone and a wireless handset.

“Building on Cisco’s software and Jabra’s headsets, businesses will have a broader portfolio of validated solutions designed to meet their individual needs and budget requirements,” said Holger Reisinger, Jabra Vice President of Marketing, Products and Alliances, and continued “Jabra is dedicated to enhancing the user experience by developing audio devices that allow customers to appreciate the full collaborative value of unified communication, regardless of where they work or how they connect to the network.”

Products supported by the integrated call-control include Jabra PRO 9400 Series ( Jabra PRO 9450, PRO 9465, PRO 9470), Jabra PRO 900 Series ( Jabra PRO 920, PRO 930), Jabra Motion, Jabra Supreme, Jabra UC Voice 750a, 550a, 250a, 150a, Jabra Biz 2400, Jabra Biz 2300, GN 2000, Jabra Speak  510, 510+, Jabra Speak 450 for Cisco , Jabra Handset 450 for Cisco.
