To support the country’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Globe Telecom’s micro, small and medium enterprise arm Globe myBusiness and online shopping portal Lazada Philippines entered a partnership to help these enterprises expand their reach through online selling.

The Globe myBusiness and Lazada collaboration also aimed to encourage entrepreneurs to look into the e-commerce space to promote their products or services using technology solutions from Globe myBusiness. The partners will enable new businesses to flourish and for e-commerce to be pervasive, and to make sure they provide an even more attractive platform to avail productive services for their customers.

“We believe in strength through partnerships – and strategic partnership with other enablers helps us turn this vision into a reality. This is why we partnered with Lazada Philippines to enable online sellers to bring their products to where the market is,” said Derrick Heng, senior adviser at Globe myBusiness.

“We are very happy that Globe myBusiness has chosen to partner with Lazada in championing the success of our SMEs in this age of digital retail. We are positive that our market pace service tools, trainings and digital solutions will revolutionize the way they do business,” said Raymond Alimurung, chief business officer at Lazada Philippines.

To jumpstart the partnership, Globe myBusiness and Lazada introduced the DigiMall which is a re-imagination of the marketplace using a “digital” shopping mall.

Alimurung said Lazada piloted its Live Chat which allows sellers to communicate regarding orders and can easily close sales with buyers.
