Lenovo launched the ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile brands, said to reflect how the company would want to be and how it wants to serve its customers.

“We realize that our customers are resonating their way to data centers, and as a result, we launched a long list of product portfolio including 14 servers, seven storage offerings, five networking products to provide a complex and more powerful data solutions to customers,” said Han Chon, GM, Data Center Group – ASEAN, Lenovo.

“Data is growing exponentially, driven by aggressive digital adoption initiatives across all industries. Amidst this digital age, we see massive growth opportunities for the data center market in the Philippines,” said Abraham Lim, country manager, Data Center Group of Lenovo Philippines.

The ThinkSystem brand consists of servers, storage, and networking products while the software-defined infrastructure is under the ThinkAgile brand.

The ThinkSystem brand is more on the traditional approach to providing data center solutions. Some of its innovation features include faster time services, high-density optimization, watercooled for high-performance computing (HPC), and lower total cost of operations (TCO).

The software-defined technology, which addresses the needs of the next-generation data centers, on the other hand, is designed to be ready for the age of 5G, Big Data, AI, and Cloud.

With the launch of these brands, Han Chon said that they want to focus on being extremely customer-centric. “We want to be much more efficient and we can be much better and effective on how we deliver the solutions to our customers.”

Apart from this, the company makes sure customers are not surprised by how different their solutions can be by giving them the right service. “We make sure that we’re giving all options to our customers,” said Han Chon, who added that they are also looking at investing on how they can be of service to their customers, partners, and investors. “We’re talking about our own IT. We’re talking about joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions as well. We’re looking at different aspects of growing. All components are looked at on a daily basis to make sure our branding is not limited to what is available today or how we are operating today.”

Lim, on the other hand, said the company is not limiting itself in focusing to markets such as fintech, telecommunications, and health sectors. “The business process outsourcing (BPO) industry is an area that we are looking into because it is really growing in the Philippines,” he ended.
