AMA partners with WorldWideLink Educational Development, American TESOL Institute to offer TESOL courses online

AMA University Online Education (AMA OEd) partnered WorldWideLink Educational Development Inc. in bringing TESOL professional certification courses offered by the American TESOL Institute to the AMA Online Education platform.

American TESOL Institute. TESOL or “Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages” is certification course that allows individuals to teach English abroad. The TESOL courses offered by American TESOL Institute will now be digitized and offered online, making them available to Filipinos around the country who are considering to teaching English abroad. Aspiring English teachers can now complete their mandatory 120-hour TESOL professional certification course at their own pace and online through AMA Online Education.

With a TESOL certification and a tertiary degree, an individual can teach English practically anywhere in the world.

“Our TESOL certification course integrates new approaches to English teaching that’s fit for the new millennium. Digitizing our content on the online platform means greater flexibility for individuals who want to ignite their passion for teaching English but are inhibited due to physical or geographical circumstances”, said Eugene C. Go, VP and CEO, American TESOL Institute.

Alluding to the need to continuously creating sustainable programs for advanced language education, Dr. Joy Clarita C. Villapando, president of WED expressed her excitement for the partnership. “Technology allows us to breathe new life to existing and traditional ways of learning. This partnership allows us to advance our advocacy in the digital age through high-quality language education that shapes well-rounded individuals ready to take on the demands of the global job market,” said Villapando.

Dr. Amable C. Aguiluz IX, vice chairman and CEO of AMA Education System, views the partnership as the institution’s integrated approach in contributing to global citizenry.
