Canon launched the third generation of varioPRINT DP product line with the release of Canon varioPRINT 140 / 130 / 115, comprising models with print speeds of up to 140 images per minute (ipm).

The varioPRINT DP line is capable of producing peak volumes up to 2.2 million letter/ A4-size images per month, and features various print management tools for effective production planning and monitoring, such as the PRISMAsync Job Scheduler, PRISMAsync Remote Manager and PRISMAsync Remote Control app for smart devices. Downloadable to a smartphone or personal tablet, the new Remote Control app allows operators to receive real-time notifications of upcoming operational actions, such as loading media or adding consumables for added efficiency.

For integration into other existing workflows, the JDF/JMF interface of the varioPRINT DP line allows connectivity to third-party systems such as CIP4-compliant MIS or Web-to-Print solutions. A full range of in-line finishing and output options, including stapling, saddle stitching, folding, die punching, inserting, ring binding and high-capacity stacking is offered to automate the production of most print products.

For other specialized needs, the open Document Finishing Device (DFD) Interface enables in-line connectivity to third party devices, and an output tray facilitates off-line finishing as well as optimizes working space with a smaller footprint.

The DirectPress Technology eliminates quality degradation by working in a single, stable digital process unaffected by light, static charge, temperature and humidity, providing output consistency.

The security features include user authentication by role or via LDAP-based operator login, a configurable user interface and extended audit logging.

The varioPRINT DP line’s energy consumption is among the lowest when compared to other devices in the marketplace, and produces virtually no toner waste with zero ozone emissions.
