With the partnership, consumers can now send and receive Smart Padala remittance and reload PayMaya accounts through Palawan Pawnshop branches in Luzon. Soon, these services will be available nationwide.

Palawan Pawnshop will also accept bills payment in the near future, and carry prepaid products such as e-load and data, Meralco, CIGNAL, and Game Pins.

“We strive to make the impact of financial inclusion felt by more Filipinos–particularly for families who rely on remittances and tech-savvy consumers who depend on digital for their day-to-day needs. Together with Palawan Pawnshop, we are thrilled to bring digital financial services available and accessible to more customers wherever they are in the country,” said Orlando B. Vea, president and CEO at Voyager Innovations and PayMaya Philippines.

Aside from enabling Palawan Pawnshop to offer Smart Padala and PayMaya services, Voyager Innovations is providing the technology that allows Palawan Branches agents to send real-time SMS notifications to senders and recipients about the status of their remittances.
