PH among most attractive investment destinations today, says Shore exec

SHORE Solutions Inc. was part of the Philippine delegation for Invest Philippines: Economic Briefing and Trade and Investment Opportunities Conference held recently in London, UK.

“The Philippines is one of the more attractive investment destinations today, especially given that the country has proven resilient even in the face of recent difficulties in the country and abroad,” says Richard Weatherstone, Shore Solutions Inc.’s Managing Director for Sales and Marketing.

Weatherstone delivered a testimonial presentation on the Philippines’ BPO sector during the “Philippine Trade and Investments Promotion Mission to London”. Jeri Ramos, Head of Business Development, also represented Shore Solutions.

Shore was part of the Philippine delegation and was the only BPO company in the business delegation, alongside other key industry players from the manufacturing, financial and utilities markets.

The conference provided promising business opportunities and prospects for companies in the Philippines. Philippine government officials gave an overview of the trade and investment environment and outlined specific incentives and assistance available for UK companies looking to invest in the Philippines. UK investors were also able to network with high-level delegates from the government and business sectors.

Keynote speaker of the conference was Secretary Gregory L. Domingo of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). He was joined by Cesar V. Purisima, Secretary of the Department of Finance and Ponciano C. Manalo, Jr., Undersecretary of the DTI, among many other officials.

Weatherstone said that being part of the delegation is a clear manifestation of how Shore Solutions has come a long way in making its mark in the BPO industry. “We are happy to share our experience and best practices to help attract UK companies to come and invest in the Philippines.”

Invest Philippines was organized by the Philippine Embassy in London and the Philippine DTI in partnership with UK Trade and Investment, Asia House, and the UK-ASEAN Business Council.

Shore Solutions was established in 2005 as a consulting business for companies wanting to offshore components of their organizations. Building on the core skill of contact center management, they started to offer contact center and BPO services in 2010 to companies requiring a high level of management interaction to deliver their business objectives through offshoring.

Today, Shore Solutions has four sites and over 2,000 employees in Manila specializing in handling operations for companies in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
