Kaspersky Lab has unveiled the latest versions of its flagship security solutions – Kaspersky Antivirus (KAI); Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS); and Kaspersky Internet Security-Multi Device (KIS-MD) – with enhanced privacy and protection features for PC, Mac and Android devices.

The new solutions feature new technologies intended to secure Windows, OS X and Android-based devices against threats.
Sanjeev Nair, Corporate Communications Manager, SEA at Kaspersky, said that Kaspersky Lab detects 325,000 malicious files a day while 49% of mobile malware are targeting Android-based devices.
The Kaspersky Lab’s Consumer IT Security Risks Survey conducted in 2015 likewise showed major concerns of Internet users about their online privacy. Access to personal files is the concern of 70% of respondents while 61% worry that there might be spyware on their devices collecting information about them. Comprising 49%, these users don’t trust their Web cams as these are frequently used to capture owner’s daily life.
Kaspersky addresses these privacy and security concerns with its enhanced security solutions capable of protecting computers against viruses; safeguard use of Web cams; save children from unwanted content; block online tracking, prevent OS and browser setting changes; and more.
Change Control
Nair said the consumer suite now has a new feature called “Change Control,” a system which takes notice of attempts to modify or alterations to be made on PC browser settings, install add-ons, and can allow or block them.
Private Browsing
Users can enable the private browsing feature if they don’t want to be tracked online or shared their data with anyone. The technology prevents online activities from tracking by social networks, analytical agencies and advertisers who can access the data via the browser and can resell it.
Private browsing can remove data from the Internet traffic and reports any blocked requests to the user via a dedicated plug-in that are available for Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
Privacy Cleaner
Enhancements were also done in Privacy Cleaner, a feature which helps remove all traces of user activity from a Windows computer, including browser history and list of the latest documents opened.
Web Cam Protection
To protect Web cam from being hacked, the solutions provide users Web cam protection by monitoring applications that attempt to access the Web cam. At the same time, it allows the access to be blocked to prevent online spying.
Parental Control
The solutions also have a Parental Control feature which helps safeguard children from online risks. The system, which runs on PC and Mac, can control and block user’s access to Web sites depending on contents.
While all Kaspersky Lab’s flagship solutions include free updates and upgrades and can be managed remotely via personal My Kaspersky account, Change Control, Privacy Cleaner and Web cam Protection features are available only for KIS and KIS-MD.
Now available, the suggested retail prices of Kaspersky security solutions are as follows: KAI (one user) – Php760; three users – P1,420; KIS (one user) – Php990; KIS-MD (one user) – Php1,980. The license for KIS is good for five devices.
