HP Philippines unveiled its latest high-performance workstation offerings, the ZBook Ultra G1a laptop, a 14-inch mobile workstation which combines compact ultra portability with computer power that handles the most demanding creative and professional tasks, and the Z2 Mini G1a workstation desktop PC, a mini workstation designed to deliver high performance for graphics-intensive workflows. These devices, which leverage the power of AI, are engineered to help creatives, businesses, and technical professionals work faster and smarter.
Kong Meng Koh, managing director at HP Greater Asia, noted that beyond providing customers with the latest and greatest in terms of hardware specs, HP is leveraging the power of AI on a PC and workstation to improve user experience, and specializes in endpoint devices to provide more security solutions for customers.
In their annual survey about Work Relationship Index, Koh mentioned that in 2024, 70% of all employees say they do not have a healthy relationship with work. One year later, in 2025, relationship index has become worse by 10 points as 80% do not have a healthy relationship with work. They were able to reverse the trend only this year when they leverage technology like AI and introduce tools to improve user experience as well as enhance productivity.
The ZBook Ultra G1a and Z2 Mini G1a are designed to provide unparalleled performance, security, and reliability, making them ideal for demanding workloads. Powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO processors, both devices deliver advanced AI acceleration, next-gen integrated graphics and ISV-certified reliability with up to 50 trillions of operations per second (TOPS) NPU of AI processing capability. With unified memory architecture of up to 128GB and up to 96GB assignable to the GPU, these devices are engineered to handle the most demanding applications – from generative design and 3D rendering to AI model deployment and real-time content creation.
Powered by Ryzen AI Max PRO processor with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, ZBook Ultra G1a offers seamless handling of demanding tasks such as 3D design, graphics-intensive rendering, and local Large Language Model (LLM) processing. It has the ability to assign up to 96GB RAM to the GPU to enable seamless multitasking between applications, and supports up to 4TB of M.2 SSD storage.
The Z2 Mini G1a, on the other hand, is a compact desktop workstation that exceeds the needs of workstation-class professionals. The device is powered by Ryzen AI Max PRO 395 processor, scalable 128GB of innovative unified memory with the ability to assign up to 96GB exclusively to the GPU, and integrated Radeon 8060S graphics. It is perfect for professionals requiring high-performance computing in a small footprint, and supports up to 4TB of M.2 SSD storage.
The latest HP workstation lineup meets the growing need of professionals and creatives for high-performing computing devices to harness the power of AI. In the Philippines, the creative economy is a major contributor to jobs and national growth, with over 7-million in population and accounting for 7.3% of gross domestic product (GDP). However, many in the sector face gaps in digital skills and technology readiness as workflows become more complex and digitally intensive. Reports highlight the need to upskill creative and technical workers in digital technologies, including AI and advanced media tools, to better prepare them for evolving industry demands.
“Many Filipino creators and professionals today are handling far more complex tasks than they were even a few years ago. Our goal with ZBook Ultra and Z2 Mini is simply to make sure they have tools that match those evolving demands,” said Ida Evina Ong-Co, managing director of HP Philippines “The launch of both AI-powered workstations also advances HP vision for the future of work, where design solutions that deliver growth and more fulfilling work experiences.”
