PLDT Enterprise and apoQlar partner to advance Mixed Reality healthcare in PH

PLDT Enterprise and apoQlar aim to reshape the local healthcare landscape by leveraging apoQlar’s HoloMedicine platform – a CE-certified, FDA-registered MR software with PLDT’s 5G and cloud infrastructure.

Helping transform patient care in the country, PLDT Enterprise, the corporate business arm of the country’s leading integrated telecommunications company PLDT Inc., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with apoQlar, a Germany-based medical technology company, to pioneer the adoption of Mixed Reality (MR) and 5G-powered healthcare innovations in the Philippines.

Through this collaboration, PLDT Enterprise and apoQlar aim to reshape the local healthcare landscape by leveraging apoQlar’s HoloMedicine platform – a CE-certified, FDA-registered MR software with PLDT’s 5G and cloud infrastructure. Together, they will equip Filipino medical professionals with immersive visualization tools that enhance medical training, strengthen diagnostics, and support more precise surgical planning.

Driving Innovation for Smarter, Safer, and More Connected Healthcare

The partnership will introduce immersive and data-driven medical applications within hospitals and medical training institutions across the country.

  • Accelerating Digital Adoption in Healthcare: Over 1,000 doctors, surgeons, and medical professionals across the Metro Pacific Hospital (MPH) network will benefit from MR-based training and simulation through apoQlar’s HoloMedicine platform, powered by PLDT’s enterprise-grade connectivity. This is projected to reduce training time by up to 30% and improve accuracy in surgical planning through real-time 3D visualization.
  • Enhancing Efficiency and Patient Outcomes: By integrating 5G and cloud technologies, hospitals can achieve up to 25% improvement in procedural efficiency and faster turnaround times in critical medical departments such as surgery and diagnostics.
  • Strengthening Digital Leadership in Healthcare: This collaboration positions PLDT Enterprise as a trusted ICT and 5G solutions partner for the healthcare sector, with the initiative expected to generate a 15% increase in engagements from healthcare clients exploring advanced digital solutions such as IoT, Cloud, and MR integration.
