So it’s the holiday season again, and you have spare cash to gift yourself something, anything. And so suddenly, grabbing a new smartphone doesn’t seem like a bad idea… which is where something like the nbubia V80 Design enters the picture.
Just to be clear, this is no flagship unit. The 4GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant sells for only PhP5,799; while the 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant sells for PhP6,499. Which should make it practically attainable for many.
But what, exactly, do you get?
This is but a superficial first look.
But design-wise, you get a 6.75-inch unit that’s 7.7mm thick. The buttons are where you expect them to be. The bottom has the 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and microphones for calls and recording. The sides have the SIM and microSD containers, power button, fingerprint sensor, and volume buttons. In front, the screen has the punch-hole front camera. And at the back, there’s a triple-camera layout.
That this unit is light is worth stressing. Particularly considering the power it boasts to have. With 5,000mAh (milliampere-hour) battery, this should last you for a day or two per charge.
