VinFast helps EV owners save big with nationwide free charging

The initiative, which covers all V-GREEN-operated charging ports nationwide, aims to reduce the cost of EV ownership and encourage broader adoption of electric mobility in the country. The offer is exclusive to VinFast owners and applies to all current and future models sold in the Philippine market.

For families, commuters, and road-trippers alike, VinFast’s partnership with V-GREEN means zero charging costs until May 1, 2027—making every ride easier, smarter, and more affordable.

The initiative, which covers all V-GREEN-operated charging ports nationwide, aims to reduce the cost of EV ownership and encourage broader adoption of electric mobility in the country. The offer is exclusive to VinFast owners and applies to all current and future models sold in the Philippine market.

The move addresses one of the primary concerns among Filipino drivers considering the switch to EVs: the cost of charging compared to traditional refueling. With fuel prices remaining volatile, VinFast’s zero-charging-cost offer is expected to provide significant savings for everyday motorists.

Free Charging Could Save Drivers Years’ Worth of Fuel Expense

Fuel costs can add up quickly for Filipino daily drivers. With free charging available through its growing network, VinFast offers motorists a practical way to reduce ongoing expenses. These potential savings, comparable to what many drivers spend on fuel over a couple of years, make EV ownership not only cleaner but also more cost-efficient.

The offer is made possible through VinFast’s ongoing partnership with V-GREEN, a key player in EV charging infrastructure in the Philippines. V-GREEN has announced plans to install up to 15,000 charging ports across the country by 2025, covering key areas such as malls, expressways, commercial districts, and high-traffic urban zones. The expanding network is expected to significantly reduce range anxiety for EV users, offering convenient access points across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

While V-GREEN operates as an independent provider, the agreement with VinFast grants exclusive free-charging privileges to VinFast customers at all participating stations.

Additional Ownership Benefits from VinFast

In addition to free public charging, VinFast offers several other long-term benefits to its EV buyers in the Philippines. These include:

  • Up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers vehicle warranty
  • Up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers battery warranty
  • Nationwide service and showroom coverage

These measures aims to support a smooth ownership experience, particularly for first-time EV buyers still evaluating the transition from conventional vehicles.

Government Support Enhances Value Proposition

The free charging program complements existing government incentives under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA), which exempts EVs from excise tax and provides other benefits such as priority registration and green lane access. With both private and public sector support aligned, industry analysts expect EV adoption to accelerate further over the next two years.

Environmental Impact in Focus

The transportation sector remains one of the largest contributors to carbon emissions in the Philippines. VinFast’s zero-charging initiative contributes to national decarbonization efforts by lowering the barrier to EV ownership. By offering cost-effective and cleaner mobility solutions, the company supports the broader push toward climate resilience and energy efficiency.
