Kia PH accelerates with 71% growth in first half of 2025

Kia’s strong performance in the first half of 2025 highlights the brand’s continued traction in the local market. Its growth is rooted in consistent brand-building, community engagement, and a clear focus on sustainability and innovation. This approach continues to deepen customer connection and market trust.

Kia Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, continues to accelerate its momentum, emerging as the fastest-growing brand among the country’s top ten automotive players. Based on the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) industry report for the first half of 2025, the brand sold 4,195 units, a 71% increase from the same period in 2024. This strong performance reinforces Kia’s solid position in the local market and reflects rising consumer demand for its modern and versatile lineup.

“Throughout the years, Kia has firmly established itself as a strong force in the Philippine automotive landscape and with this new milestone, it shows how this continuously holds true till today,” said Jay Lopez, Managing Director of Kia Philippines. “With a compelling mix of innovative vehicles, growing nationwide presence, and a clear direction toward transformative mobility, Kia is shaping the future of mobility in a way that’s reliable, exciting, and built for the Filipino driver.”

Powering Growth Through a Diverse Lineup

At the forefront of Kia’s success is the Sonet, with over 3,171 units sold. Standing as the brand’s fuel-efficient subcompact SUV, the Sonet continues to be the brand’s best-selling model, sporting a fun and practical design perfect for young and first-time drivers. It also recently marked its first anniversary in the Philippines last June with a convoy attended by more than 60 owners — a testament to its growing community and strong customer base. The Sorento recorded an impressive triple-digit sales growth from the same period last year, demonstrating the rising demand for Kia’s hybrid offerings. Also part of the brand’s hybrid lineup is the Carnival, and fully electric models such as the EV6 and EV9, providing customers with a diverse range of options that meet different lifestyles and driving needs.

“Our strong first-half performance shows that more Filipinos are choosing Kia for its smart design, everyday reliability, and growing range of options. This momentum reflects our ability to connect with a new generation of drivers who value both innovation and practicality, especially through The Kia Movement” said Lopez.

The Kia Movement and the ACMobility Advantage

This milestone is a direct result of The Kia Movement, a nationwide initiative that unifies Kia’s product portfolio under a shared vision of progressive, sustainable, and customer-focused mobility. It highlights Kia’s commitment to offering stylish yet practical vehicles built for both today’s demands and tomorrow’s possibilities.

The strong collaboration between Kia Philippines and ACMobility, the Ayala Group’s mobility arm, has been instrumental in scaling the brand’s presence. Through synchronized efforts in brand-building, EV infrastructure, and digital innovation, ACMobility has helped make Kia’s offerings increasingly accessible and appealing to a broader customer base.
