Smart and TNT add more fun to Leyte festivals with new 5G sites and special deals

With the recent expansion of Smart 5G sites in Tacloban City, TNT made it possible for festivalgoers and guests to stay connected and share their unforgettable festival moments as they were happening. The network also deployed sales booths, offering promos and freebies that completed the TNT Saya Fest experience of its customers.

TNT, the value brand of PLDT’s wireless arm Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), extended all-out support for the major festivals in Leyte, spreading ‘Saya’ among festivalgoers through enhanced network connectivity and special promos.

Celebrated on the same day, Tacloban City’s Sangyaw Festival and Leyte Province’s Pintados Festival are religious and socio-cultural celebrations that showcase the vibrant cultures in the province and its people’s unwavering devotion to the Holy Child, Señor Santo Niño.

From music and sports to pageants, art, and religious festivities, the two celebrations filled the month of June with meaning and excitement, highlighting the region’s rich tradition and community spirit. Among the most anticipated events were the Sangyaw Festival of Lights dance competition and the grand ritual showdown of Pintados Festival.
