PLDT Enterprise powers MSU-IIT NMPC’s digital leap to boost services for its Mindanao members

Established in the early 2000s, the collaboration between PLDT Enterprise and MSU-IIT NMPC began with basic communication lines to connect the cooperative’s branches.

PLDT Enterprise, the corporate arm of the country’s leading integrated telecommunications and digital services provider PLDT Inc. (PLDT), has reaffirmed its strong relationship with MSU-IIT National Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MSU-IIT NMPC) in a renewed partnership aimed at enabling the cooperative’s continued growth through robust digital connectivity.

Established in the early 2000s, the collaboration between PLDT Enterprise and MSU-IIT NMPC began with basic communication lines to connect the cooperative’s branches. Today, the partnership has evolved to include a full suite of enterprise solutions—ranging from fixed and wireless connectivity to cloud-based productivity tools—empowering the cooperative’s operations across all 22 branches throughout the Mindanao region.

“As one of the largest and most respected cooperatives in Mindanao, MSU-IIT NMPC has always championed member-focused services. We are honored to help enable their growth journey by equipping them with reliable connectivity and digital tools that improve efficiency and support their mission of sustainable service delivery,” said Roberto Suzon, Business Head of Customer Relationship Business for North Mindanao at PLDT Enterprise.

Through this engagement, MSU-IIT NMPC implemented PLDT Enterprise’s Enterprise Broadband as the primary connectivity for its head office and all provincial branches across Mindanao. For seamless communication, the cooperative subscribed to Smart Postpaid plans tailored for each site, ensuring consistent coordination across its operations. Most recently, MSU-IIT NMPC adopted Google Workspace through ePLDT, the ICT arm of PLDT, streamlining email, collaboration, and productivity through a secure and integrated digital environment.

These solutions are aligned with MSU-IIT NMPC’s goals of promoting sustainability, comfort, and innovation for its members. From providing accessible financial services to delivering social development initiatives, the cooperative’s ability to digitally transform its internal processes translates to greater service for the communities it supports.

“Our cooperative has grown because of our commitment to members—and this means always finding better ways to serve them,” said Albert Teaño, JD, CEO of MSU-IIT NMPC. “By partnering with PLDT Enterprise, we are future proofing our systems and building a foundation of digital excellence that supports our goals for long-term, inclusive progress.”

From its roots as the MSU-IIT Employees Credit Cooperative in 1979, MSU-IIT NMPC now serves over 70,000 members and remains an engine of inclusive economic empowerment in the region. PLDT Enterprise’s support is pivotal in driving the cooperative’s transformation journey by delivering scalable, secure, and accessible digital solutions.

This strengthened partnership also supports PLDT’s broader commitment to advancing United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by bridging digital gaps across Mindanao and promoting technology adoption in community institutions.

As the cooperative continues its expansion and social impact initiatives, PLDT Enterprise remains committed to delivering innovations that enable organizations like MSU-IIT NMPC to thrive in the digital age—committed to their success every step of the way.
