PLDT brings customer care to communities through Labor Day Job Fairs

The Labor Day care caravan presented a unique opportunity for PLDT to connect directly with customers, as hundreds of attendees received face-to-face assistance for their PLDT account inquiries, service upgrades, and service requests.

In its continuing drive to enhance customer service, PLDT marked the 123rd Philippine Labor Day with its Community Care Caravan (CCC), providing onsite assistance to job seekers at 20 simultaneous Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-organized Job Fairs nationwide. This initiative, focused on aftersales service and new subscriptions, ensured that existing customers received dedicated support while new subscribers explored broadband solutions tailored to their needs.

The Labor Day care caravan presented a unique opportunity for PLDT to connect directly with customers, as hundreds of attendees received face-to-face assistance for their PLDT account inquiries, service upgrades, and service requests, allowing immediate after-sales support and an opportunity to guide new customers in selecting the right broadband solutions for their homes. This effort underscores PLDT’s commitment to accessible and personalized customer care.

Aligned with PLDT’s sustainability efforts, the caravan also incorporated resource-efficient customer service practices. The use of digital forms on tablets facilitated paperless transactions, reducing printed materials and streamlining service requests and account management.  The initiative also reduced travel-related carbon footprints by bringing localized customer care to communities, eliminating the need for branch visits. This approach reinforces PLDT’s commitment to both digital inclusion and responsible business operations.

“We are grateful to the organizers of the Labor Day job fairs as it became a great opportunity for us to directly engage with our customers. By bringing the Community Care Caravan to the job fairs, we were able to offer immediate support and guide new customers in choosing the best broadband solutions for their needs. This initiative is a testament to our dedication in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering sustainable practices in our community,” said Anna Fernando, Head of Home Retail Management at PLDT.

As part of its long-term customer care initiatives, PLDT continues to enhance on-the-ground service accessibility, ensuring customers receive efficient and personalized support wherever they are.
