MOONTON Games unveils Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Immortal Cup

The new trophy follows the launch of the new Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) logo at the M6 World Championship Grand Finals on 15 December 2024 and reaffirms MOONTON Games’ commitment to progress and innovation.

MOONTON Games unveiled the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Immortal Cup, a groundbreaking evolution of the iconic MPL trophy. The MPL Immortal Cup will be introduced to all seven MPLs—Cambodia, Indonesia, LATAM, Malaysia, MENA, the Philippines, and Singapore— marking a bold new chapter for the MPL.

The new trophy follows the launch of the new Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) logo at the M6 World Championship Grand Finals on 15 December 2024 and reaffirms MOONTON Games’ commitment to progress and innovation.

The MPL Immortal Cup stands as a symbol of tomorrow, inspired by years past. Its design elevates the MPL brand to new heights, balancing modern prestige with the legacy of its predecessors. The winged motif—a signature of past MPL trophies—endures, symbolising the soaring ambition of champions, their relentless pursuit of excellence, and their freedom to innovate and evolve. In homage to MLBB’s new identity, the trophy sports fire design elements, embodying the passion that fuels esports athletes and fans alike.

The Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) trophy has also received a visual upgrade—a new prize for greatness. The concept features the MPL logo wreathed with a fire motif, with visual design elements referencing the MPL Immortal Cup.

Since its launch in 2017, the MPL has firmly established itself as a pillar of global esports; the MPL Immortal Cup underscores this legacy as an elite, must-watch esports spectacle.

The MPL recently became the first esports event series in the world to surpass 1 billion hours of watch time, according to Esports Charts. Its Indonesian tournament, MPL Indonesia, recently became the most-watched mobile esports event of all time after its 14th season racked up 117 million hours of watch time, according to Esports Charts. MPL Indonesia also now holds the record for the most-viewed non-international tournament across the entire esports industry.

Maximillian Tan, Director Of Creative Development, Global Esports, at MOONTON Games, said: “The MPL Immortal Cup is more than a trophy or a prize; it represents the boundless potential of MPL. It is a legacy in the making and a symbol of the opportunities that await—for esports athletes to chase greatness, for fans to immerse themselves in the thrill of esports entertainment, and for industry stakeholders to unlock the MPL’s value in shaping the gaming landscape.”

The MPL Immortal Cup will debut in all seven MPLs this season—MPL Cambodia Season 8, MPL Indonesia Season 15, MPL LATAM Season 3, MPL Malaysia Season 15, MPL MENA Season 7, MPL Philippines Season 15, and MPL Singapore Season 9—where old and new champions will leave their mark on esports history.
