Aptos Foundation launches Hiraya Network in PH, empowering local blockchain talent and communities

In addition to providing grants and resources, the initiative will host activities and create platforms to foster innovation and collaboration in the local blockchain community.

Aptos Foundation launched the Hiraya Network in the Philippines, aiming to empower growth of local talent and projects within the Aptos ecosystem. In addition to providing grants and resources, the initiative will host activities and create platforms to foster innovation and collaboration in the local blockchain community.

Aptos Foundation recognizes the tremendous potential of blockchain technology in the Philippines and is committed to bringing the values of the Aptos network to the local community. The mission of Hiraya Network is to help realize this potential and contribute to the nation’s burgeoning tech scene and digital economy by fostering Web3 talent, participation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.

Supported by the Department of Science and Technology – Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) and the Blockchain Lead Organization and Knowledge Center (known as “The BLOKC”, a leader in blockchain education in the country), Hiraya Network will focus on three key areas:

  1. Community engagement through events and workshops;
  2. Developer nurturing through university partnerships, hackathons, and open-source R&D projects on Aptos; and,
  3. Collaborations with startups, academic institutions, and venture capital firms to boost education, awareness, and fundraising for Filipino projects building on Aptos.

Through Hiraya Network, Filipino blockchain enthusiasts, builders, and founders can gain direct access to the Aptos Foundation’s global programs and resources tailored for needs of projects in different stages. This includes a range of grants and accelerators, as well as the Aptos LFM which is a specialized program designed to support leading, Aptos-native projects in their Token Generation Event (TGE) preparations.

“With the launch of the Hiraya Network, we see a powerful opportunity to nurture Filipino talent, explore real-world blockchain applications, and drive economic empowerment through blockchain and Web3. We’re excited to support this initiative and look forward to how it will shape the future of blockchain in the country,” said Roxanne Aviñante, Senior Science Research Specialist at DOST-ASTI.

“This launch enables Aptos to establish its entry into the vibrant Philippines market,” said Ash Pampati, Head of Ecosystem at Aptos Foundation. “By empowering local talent and providing community-first support, we will see the next great founders emerge. With the Hiraya network, we invite builders, entrepreneurs, educators, and creators to build on the world’s most performant blockchain.
