Yondu launches Knight Wolf, a VAPT cybersecurity service for businesses

Knight Wolf enables local enterprises to proactively detect and neutralize digital security vulnerabilities through its state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive suite of VAPT services.

To bolster cybersecurity in the Philippines, IT solutions firm Yondu Inc. unveiled Knight Wolf, its flagship Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) service.

Knight Wolf enables local enterprises to proactively detect and neutralize digital security vulnerabilities through its state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive suite of VAPT services.

Yondu recently showcased Knight Wolf at ROOTCON 18, a prominent hacking conference which brought together over 700 delegates including cybersecurity experts and industry leaders, provided a platform for Yondu representatives to deliver presentations on best practices in cybersecurity and share insights into their experiences with VAPT.

Dennis Sanchez, Chief Information Security Officer of Yondu, emphasized that in the race against cyber threats, preemptive defense is crucial.

“Knight Wolf offers unparalleled security knowledge for businesses, allowing them to operate without the fear of digital incursions, thereby focusing on growth and excellence in their respective domains,” said Sanchez.

The launch of Yondu’s VAPT service follows a series of cybersecurity attacks on government agencies and high-profile companies in the Philippines. For example, a top fast food chain reported a data breach affecting approximately 11 million customers last June 2024—one of the largest incidents in Philippine history.

In a separate incident the following month, a major branch of the Philippine armed forces reported foiling hundreds of hacking attempts and launched an internal investigation into a suspected network breach involving one of its personnel. The incident, which was reportedly linked to an international hacking group, exposed vulnerabilities within military cybersecurity protocols.

In light of such occurrences, Knight Wolf’s strategic launch is aimed at addressing critical security gaps in the national cyberinfrastructure. The service underscores a shift from reactive security measures to a more proactive stance, anticipating potential breaches and pre-empting unauthorized infiltrations.

Furthermore, Knight Wolf distinguishes itself by promising immediate resolution to present threats and ensuring enduring security strategies. Through a consultative approach, the company provides tailored security solutions and expert consultancy to help businesses assess risks and manage their cybersecurity strategically.

The service’s comprehensive portfolio, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and advanced red teaming, cements its reputation for delivering a full spectrum of cybersecurity solutions.
