Asialink Finance Corporation marks 27th anniversary with Gawad Kalinga partnership

Asialink’s mission includes contributing to community development and positively impacting the lives of fellow Filipinos.

Celebrating 27 remarkable years of providing tailored financial solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Philippines, Asialink Finance Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare by partnering with Gawad Kalinga for a number of activities of impactful activities at Gawad Kalinga’s Bayanihan Village in Cavite. 

Asialink’s mission includes contributing to community development and positively impacting the lives of fellow Filipinos. The collaboration with Gawad Kalinga, a renowned organization dedicated to fostering empowered and sustainable communities through initiatives such as housing programs, livelihood opportunities, education, and healthcare support, paved the way in making this mission a success for the financing company.

Eillen Mangubat, President and COO of Asialink Finance Corporation, believes that partnering with Gawad Kalinga became a great opportunity for them to contribute in empowering communities and promoting inclusive and sustainable growth for them. “Our partnership with Gawad Kalinga allowed us to be part of making changes on the ground for our fellow Filipinos. Aside from providing reliable financial access and supporting our MSMEs, we want to contribute to the development of our county in every possible way we can,” she said.

Last month, 50 employee-volunteers participated in a day of impactful activities at the Bayanihan Village of Gawad Kalinga. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves and participated in house-building activities, constructing safe and secure housing for families in need. This initiative provided much-needed shelter and a safer future for many families. 

Asialink employee-volunteers take part in giving reading sessions and coloring activities to many children. 

Volunteers also engaged with children through reading sessions, storytelling, coloring activities, and games. The joy was seen in the faces of the kids when they received prizes and loot bags, making the day educational and fun at the same time.

Asialink conducted a financial literacy session and introduced their loan consultancy program to the attendees. 

To further support the community, a financial literacy session was held with 60 adult participants. This session aimed to equip them with essential knowledge and skills for better financial management, fostering economic empowerment within the community. It also covered how to generate additional income through Asialink’s loan consultancy program.

The anniversary celebration at the Gawad Kalinga Bayanihan Village is a testament to the enduring impact of Asialink and its strong commitment to help Filipinos.  Asialink Finance Corporation continues to inspire and lead by example, proving that corporate success and social responsibility can go hand in hand, creating a brighter future for everyone involved.
