Stevie Awards honors top global companies; RELX | Reed Elsevier bags 3 awards this year

RELX | Reed Elsevier received the Silver Award in Innovative Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility, while Managing Director Mark Lwin received the Bronze Award for Most Innovative Leader of the Year.

RELX shared services arm RELX | Reed Elsevier recently won three awards at the 11th annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards 2024, the world’s premier business-awarding body that honors the achievements and contributions of organizations and professionals worldwide.

RELX | Reed Elsevier received the Silver Award in Innovative Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility, while Managing Director Mark Lwin received the Bronze Award for Most Innovative Leader of the Year.

Additionally, the company won the People’s Choice for Favorite Companies in the Business Product and Service Industries, a category introduced to the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in 2023. This award reflects the overwhelming support from the public, with over 38,000 total votes cast worldwide between April 10 and April 30, 2024.

These three awards highlight the company’s dedication to innovation and employee development.

Lwin was recognized by the Stevie Awards for his leadership and commitment to fostering an innovative and growth-oriented environment. Expressing his gratitude, Lwin said, “I am honored to receive this award on behalf of all the leaders here at RELX | Reed Elsevier. As servant leaders, our role goes beyond merely directing tasks; it’s about providing our employees with the avenues to hone their skills and excel in their respective fields. Our leadership team at RELX cultivates talent and expertise across industries such as healthcare, legal analytics, science, and academics, ensuring our company evolves with market needs.”

In addition to Lwin’s recognition, RELX | Reed Elsevier was honored with the Silver Award for Innovative Achievement in CSR. This award acknowledges the impactful work of the RELX Cares initiative, an employee-driven CSR program. The initiative, which has supported 220 scholars from Payatas, reflects the company’s dedication to social responsibility and community engagement.

RELX Cares empowers employees to lead projects aligned with their values. From fundraising to organizing diverse activities, employees play a crucial role in the initiative’s success.

Since its inception, RELX Cares has raised over Php16M, benefiting numerous causes across the country. The program also supports the Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita (KKMK) Foundation and the Friends of Cancer Kids Foundation Inc. (FCKI), demonstrating the company’s commitment to elevating impact in the lives of others.

Employees are granted two paid days off annually to participate in CSR activities, fostering a culture of volunteerism and engagement. This program allows employees to contribute meaningfully to their communities while embodying RELX’s values of making a positive impact on society.

“Participating in RELX Cares has been very rewarding for me,” said a RELX employee. “I feel a deep sense of fulfillment knowing that I have direct involvement with the project and that our efforts have put kids through school, making a positive impact in the lives of our fellow Filipinos.”
