CIMB Bank Philippines named one of Asia’s best employers at 18th Employer Branding Awards

CIMB Bank Philippines has been named one of Asia’s best employers at the 18th Employer Branding Awards recently held in Singapore. The all-digital commercial bank was recognized for its exceptional HR practices, diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee training and development programs, and work-life balance policies.

The award was conferred by the Employer Branding Institute, an organization where senior leaders in human resources from over 36 countries connect with each other to share the best practices in employer branding.

CIMB Bank PH remains supportive of the diverse passions of its employees, providing them with a workplace that lets them grow both as individuals and as professionals. The Bank currently observes a hybrid work setup to allow more opportunities for work-life balance.

“We also prepare the employees to be ready for the future which entails continuous change,” added Annie Caw, CIMB Bank PH Chief Human Resource Officer. “We give them an opportunity to learn. And with that learning comes the support and the trust of the CIMB leadership to each employee to reach their maximum potential and navigate through the digital business landscape without fear of making mistakes. Here in CIMB, we learn together and we move forward together.”

When reporting to work, employees are welcomed into CIMB Bank PH’s new head office in Taguig City that is equipped with all the needs of a modern workplace. Apart from a physically comfortable work stations, the company also encourages inclusion and diversity in the workplace to ensure that there is respect among employees of all levels.

Personal and professional development is also highly encouraged at CIMB by giving employees access to special events and trainings on a wide range of topics. From sessions on banking-related subjects to lighter topics such as mixology and baking, employees get to experience a good balance of activities depending on their interests.

CIMB employees also help contribute to a bigger cause through company initiatives focused on sustainability, helping mold them into becoming responsible corporate citizens that contribute to community wellbeing. Recently, some 50 employee volunteers participated in a solar lamp building session, with the output of the employees being donated to a typhoon-affected community in Zambales.
