Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) was recently recognized at the 2023 LinkedIn Awards as Best Talent Acquisition Team. This award is given to companies for demonstrating remarkable adaptability, innovation, and creativity throughout one of the most challenging years for talent.
Smart and parent firm, PLDT, Inc., were also finalists under the Best Employer Brand and Talent Insights Pioneer categories.
Held annually by the world’s largest professional network—LinkedIn, the LinkedIn Talent Awards is a recognition given to companies based on their utilization of solutions and activities on the LinkedIn platform. In particular, LinkedIn analyzes how companies understand, engage, and develop talent, and how these companies perform by leveraging LinkedIn’s talent solutions.

PLDT and Smart’s talent acquisition and engagement efforts are part of the aspirational PLDT 2025 vision and strategy laid out by its president and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio.
Under PLDT’s 2025 vision, the Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco company aims to further strengthen its standing as a premier workplace in the country, elevate customer experience, and establish industry-leading operational excellence across the group.

Last year, Smart was recognized as one of the best workplaces in the Philippines. Smart ranked first and was the only telco on LinkedIn’s Top Companies 2022 comprised of 15 Philippine firms.
