Eastern Communications extends strong connection to CATV operators while working with PCTA

Eastern Communications continues to expand in key strategic locations throughout the archipelago, in order to better serve the Filipino people. Through this aggressive expansion initiative, the company allows more Cable TV Operators to have access to this IDS variant in various locations nationwide.

Eastern Communications, in its continuing pursuit to support the Philippines’ growing demand for bandwidth, offers a specialized Internet Direct Service (IDS) for Cable TV Operators throughout the country. The offer was highlighted during the recent PCTA Connect webinar, where Eastern Communications in collaboration with Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association, Inc. (PCTA) discussed the topic, “Shifts in Expectations and Consumer Outlook in the Now Normal”.

As one of the premier telecommunications companies in the Philippines, Eastern Communications continues to expand in key strategic locations throughout the archipelago, in order to better serve the Filipino people. Through this aggressive expansion initiative, the company allows more Cable TV Operators to have access to this IDS variant in various locations nationwide. The overall expansion of Eastern Communications has made them available in Tuguegarao, Iloilo, Davao, and CDO, with further expansion plans in many other locations throughout the country scheduled for completion this year.

“Eastern will continue expanding in new locations while strengthening our partnership with CATV Operators and of course with PCTA in the next few years. These partnerships will play a crucial role in addressing the challenges of Internet accessibility throughout the country,” said Eastern Communications Head of Sales, Michael Castaneda.

By offering IDS for CATV Operators, Eastern Communications hopes that CATV Operators will have more than enough bandwidth available to answer the growing needs of their consumers and in turn be able to serve more underserved and unserved customers.

Eastern’s Internet Direct Service is a premium dedicated Internet connection with a 1:1 contention ratio. It runs through Eastern Communications’ fully redundant fiber optic network, capable of providing gigabit per second connection between the Philippines and peering partners in the Asia Pacific Region, as well as the US and Europe. Its high-speed, high quality and redundant links are ideal for customers with round-the-clock transactions.

“Our synergies with the PCTA and its members have allowed us to come up with a one-of-a-kind Internet solution tailor-fit for CATV providers. We both share in the same vision of seeing families better connected and seeing businesses prosper,” said Eastern Communications’ Head of Product and Innovation, Edsel Paglinawan.
