Digital transactions have become essential as Filipinos adapted to the new normal. In order to minimize physical contact and proximity, Filipinos turned to digital platforms to buy, sell, pay, and interact—which usually entailed switching between multiple apps. To provide a seamless end-to-end social selling platform, the Slip Communities app was launched.
The Slip Communities app aims to make digital transactions smooth and hassle-free. With its straightforward user experience, users get to create new communities and make community-wide announcements, interact with friends and neighbors, and discover new communities and hobby groups that share the same interest—with just a few clicks.
The app allows for community-based selling, where users can sell within a community—or at a larger scale through the Slip Public Marketplace—making it the go-to app for selling items such as homemade food and products, preloved clothes, and books. This way, business owners and brands get to do activities they would usually do in a physical community.
One of the notable features of the Slip Communities app is its “Mine” button which lets shoppers put a claim on an item, an idea born out of “mine”-ing an item in the comments section of an online selling event. Featured communities get to enjoy free delivery, too.
Furthermore, event organizers are able to sell tickets for concerts, festivals, and other live events, wherein a QR code acts as the event ticket.
To make it more interactive, the social community platform boasts a livestream feature which allows users to sell or participate in discussions.
As consumers switch from cash to cashless payments amid the pandemic, the Slip Communities team is continuously working to fulfill transaction needs while ensuring safety and security of its users.
Partnering with payment gateways and banks, users can transact instantly via credit card, GCash, PayMaya, and directly debit from their UnionBank, BPI, or BDO accounts.
The Slip Communities app also lets sellers cash out their earnings or Slip Balance to their bank or e-wallet instantly.
Moreover, it has security features such as real-time photo, QR code receipts, and in-chat payment confirmation. Under the Transaction History, users can see their past selling and purchase transactions.
As Filipinos continue to find ways to cope with the pandemic, the Slip Communities app is slated to roll out features that will further meet the growing demands of digitally connected communities. In October, version 2.0 of the Slip Communities app will feature more delivery partners, modes of payment, bills payment platforms, and e-loading.
Also in the pipeline are event streaming, community webinars, and Slip Gig which will let users showcase their skills and post freelance opportunities.
The Slip Communities app is now available for download via Google Play Store and App Store.
