Smart elevates GigaLife App with ‘GigaPay with PayMaya’ feature

To help subscribers avoid these troubles, leading mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has enhanced the GigaLife App experience by introducing GigaPay with PayMaya.

Now that going digital has become an essential part of everyday life, running out of data in the middle of an online activity – like sending an urgent work or school file, holding a watch party for your favorite series, checking out your food order, or battling it out with your friends on a mobile game – can be such a big hassle.

To help subscribers avoid these troubles, leading mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has enhanced the GigaLife App experience by introducing GigaPay with PayMaya, a groundbreaking in-app payment feature that makes it simpler and easier for customers to buy load and subscribe to data promos, among others, with just a simple swipe on their phone screen.

Smarter Way to Pay

Through GigaPay, all subscribers of Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid, Smart Bro, Prepaid Home WiFi, and TNT may conveniently link their PayMaya account to the GigaLife App to make it their payment source for all their in-app transactions.

Now, there’s no need to switch between apps and do multiple log-ins to multiple accounts just to top up one’s Smart account or avail of data promos. Subscribers can now make these purchases without getting off the GigaLife App and just use its GigaPay feature for a much smarter and more seamless way to pay.

For its initial rollout, GigaPay users can also reload at all available PayMaya cash-in touchpoints nationwide, conveniently keep track of all their transaction history, and get a rewarding experience by earning more GigaPoints which can be used to redeem data offers and exclusive lifestyle perks on the app.

Be unstoppable with GigaPay

“When we launched the GigaLife App last September, our vision has always been to build a one-stop app that puts all the digital needs of our customers within easy reach. GigaPay with PayMaya is a huge step towards that direction as it makes transactions on the GigaLife App simple and hassle-free,” said Jane J. Basas, SVP and Head of Consumer Wireless Business at Smart.

“Our subscribers can now rely on GigaPay with PayMaya on the GigaLife App to stay connected and be unstoppable when it comes to pursuing their passions. This capability also opens doors for more powerful and innovative functionalities that enrich the digital experiences of our customers,” Basas added.

Get started on the GigaLife App

To start using GigaPay with PayMaya, subscribers of Smart Prepaid, Smart Postpaid, Smart Bro, Prepaid Home WiFi, and TNT must first download or update the GigaLife App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Upon logging in to the app, simply tap the GigaPay icon to link your existing PayMaya account as your payment source. If you still don’t have a PayMaya account, you may easily create a new one and just link to GigaPay without having to leave the GigaLife App.

Once GigaPay has been activated, buying load and subscribing to promos on the GigaLife App can be as easy as clicking your preferred offer and swiping across your screen to confirm your purchase so you can stay connected to your passions anytime and anywhere.

Philippines’ fastest mobile data network

The GigaLife App is powered by Smart, the country’s fastest mobile data network as reported by third-party mobile internet analytics firms.

Ookla, the global leader in internet testing and analysis, has cited Smart as the country’s fastest mobile data network for three years in a row. It recently named Smart as the country’s fastest mobile data network in the second half of 2020, after it achieved a Speed Score™ of 24.99, with average speeds of 20.08 Mbps for download, and 7.42 Mbps for upload, based on 3,915,679 user-initiated tests taken with Speedtest®.

On the other hand, Smart scored a rare sweep in the April 2021 Philippines Mobile Network Experience Awards by independent analytics firm Opensignal, beating the competition across all metrics in three essential aspects of service, including Coverage (4G Coverage Experience, 4G Availability), Speed (Download and Upload Speed) and Experience (Games, Video and Voice App).

Smart also enables subscribers to upgrade their digital experiences powered Smart 5G, the fastest 5G network in the Philippines for Q1 2021 according to Ookla, with median download speeds of 190 Mbps or more than twice the competition’s speeds.
