With ESD, consumers and small businesses can securely receive Microsoft product keys which they can use to instantly download and activate after purchase. The product key is live and usable when delivered to customers – saving customers time, money and resources when purchasing and using Microsoft software.

WSI, an IT distributor in the country and a longtime partner of Microsoft, aims to help IT resellers grow their current Microsoft business through ESD. The company will provide sales enablement trainings as well as marketing materials to support its partners’ move for ESD transformation.

“There is huge potential for the ESD business, which is expected to grow 10% yearly to gain between 10% to 20% of the Microsoft retail box business. We project a revenue between Php 20 Million to Php 40 Million within the next 5 years, which is why it’s important for resellers to kickstart their ESD program and be the first to market with us,” declared Irene Chua, WSI Vice President for Consumer-Commercial Division.

Chua credited WSI’s 35 years of market-leading in the industry as the main reason why Microsoft chose their company for this endeavor, and expressed confidence that WSI can grow the ESD business just as they have nurtured other Microsoft products in the past.

There are no fees or additional resources needed by IT retailers to offer ESD, as these companies already have sales personnel promoting Microsoft products. The sales cycle is very simple – customers can purchase Microsoft software through their preferred resellers, who in turn issue a purchase order to WSI. WSI then logs the order through the ESD portal, and once this cycle is completed, the customer receives the product key at their authorized email address within the same or the next business day.

ESD eliminates inventory costs, freight charges, and warehouse stocking fees – thus bringing software costs down for customers, and raising profitability for resellers. All featured Microsoft products are always available and never out of stock.

The Microsoft products that are available nationwide through ESD are Office 365 Home and Personal, Microsoft Office 2016 (Home and Student, Home & Business for PC and Mac), Office Professional, Visio Professional and Standard, Project Professional and Standard, as well as Windows OS (Windows 10 Home and Pro), among others.

These ESD products can be used by customers for a wide range of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, tablet and even smartphones. Meanwhile, this gives distributors a greater avenue to servicing the needs of their business and consumer clients.

Microsoft provides license activation and installation assistance to business, home and personal customers though its domestic toll free hotline number 1 800 1441 0158 or online at https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/.
