ePLDT, Inc. collaborated with Asia Cloud Computing Association (ACCA) and PLDT Enterprise to bring the ‘Digital Thought Leaders’ Summit: The Free Flow of Data and the Financial Services Sector in ASEAN and the Philippines’ to customers in Metro Manila.
Angel Redoble, ePLDT Chief Information Security Officer, said: “The free flow of data should not be based on trust, but it should be supported. All barriers to the seamless flow of data should be put down. In the eyes of Cyber Security, everyone is held accountable.”
The session was dedicated to present, seek feedback and consultation on how organizations in the banking, financial services and insurance sector can leverage on the free flow of data even at the face of the government’s ICT policies. This also opened the discussion on how enterprises and the public sector can work together in breaking down the barriers to ICT growth in the ASEAN region.
According to Angel Redoble, ePLDT chief information security officer, the free flow of data should remain unrestricted to achieve economic growth through data-driven technologies.
